Our Story

Sometime in 2018, within the elegant walls of Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, a conversation sparked what would become a powerful cultural and entrepreneurial movement. It was here that Dimkpa Ngozi Princess met with Mr. Ben Omoakin Oguntala, and shared a heartfelt story about her root, her people, and her pride in the city of Aba.

Born and raised in Aba, Abia State, Ngozi’s formative years were steeped in the vibrant energy of a city known for its ingenuity and relentless spirit. In 2009, she left Aba to pursue higher education, earning her Law degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), and later was called to the Nigerian Bar.

Yet, despite her legal path, Ngozi carried her heritage wherever she went; particularly the values, flavors, and traditions of her homeland. She shared stories about her Avo village in Obi-Ngwa Local Government Area, famed for its agricultural richness; especially its cassava products (garri, fufu), premium palm oil, peppers, and distinctly flavorful bananas and plantains that stand unmatched across Nigeria.

Moved by her deep connection to her roots, Mr. Ben asked a simple, yet life-changing question:

“Have you ever considered projecting the brand Ngozi of Aba?”

That moment was transformational. It was more than an idea, it was a calling. A call to tell the world about the brilliance of Aba’s people. A call to preserve, promote, and elevate its rich traditions, through business, storytelling, and cultural pride. She took it a step further and officially registered it with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). Shortly after, it was trademarked by the Federal Ministry of Trade and Investments, establishing it as a protected and recognized Nigerian brand.
